📅 Prescribed Time Limit
Accuracy
The time limit within which each service (for example, birth/death certificates, building construction permits, and various licences) must be provided has been clearly prescribed.
⚖️ Grievance Redressal
Appellate Authority
If the service is not provided within the prescribed time after submitting an application, or if the application is rejected, citizens have the right to file an appeal. First Appellate and Second Appellate Authorities have been designated for this purpose.
⚠️ Penalty for Officials
Accountability
The Act provides for the recovery of a penalty from officials who, without any valid reason, delay the provision of services beyond the prescribed time limit.
